Love Island's Jess and Sammy were among the many stars getting pampered as they prepared for this year's National Television Awards.

It's that time of the year again when all the stars from the small screen get together at London's O2 Arena for a night of endless awards and celebrations. Comedian Joel Dommett is hosting the event as soap stars and reality stars pick up well-deserved gongs following fan votes in a number of categories to celebrate television.

Celebrities have been taking to their social media to share sneak peeks of their pampering sessions and make-up routines ahead of the special ceremony. This summer's Love Island stars, including Jess, Sammy, and Molly Marsh, took to their Stories to share their excitement.

Molly, who is still dating co-star Zachariah Noble, returned from her American holiday just in time to get ready for the event. She took to her Instagram Stories to share a selfie wearing a fluffy Love Island robe with Zach's name on it while she pouted and threw up a peace sign.

"NTA Day! *Pinch me," she wrote as she added a few love heart emojis. She also posted a snap of a selection of hair extensions lying on the bed. Jess Harding, who won this year's ITV2 dating competition, posted a short clip of her boyfriend Sammy Root getting his eyebrows cleaned up while he relaxed and scrolled through his phone.

"Ain't just a pamper day for me," she wrote as she tagged her boyfriend followed by a laughing emoji. Meanwhile, NTA veterans Stacey Solomon and Rochelle Humes took a more casual approach to the event. Stacey took to her Stories to wish her followers a happy Tuesday and gave fans an update on her busy day.

"Did my first school drop off, came on my period and after school pick up I'm off to the NTAs. My anxiety is high, my hormones are raging and my emotions are all over the place. So I went for a run, with maybe a mild cry. Hope you're all okay today," she wrote over a video of herself running on the treadmill.

Later, she shared a snap of her bathtub as she showed her razor to the camera. "Now it's time to take off my winter coat, then school pick up. Then NTAs here we go," she captioned the post. This Morning star Rochelle was a little more mysterious and shared a picture of a vanity table covered in lavish makeup products.

She also posted a snap of the 'decisions' she had to make between four pairs of earrings. Actress Michelle Keegan admitting she is 'running on two hours of sleep' as she shared a mirror selfie from her hotel elevator. In the snap, she held up a back of Joe & The Juice as she stuck her tongue out for the camera. "Bali -> The O2. Running on 2 hours sleep!", she said.

Model Vogue Williams is already dressed and ready for the red carpet and debuted her look on social media. The star posed in a floor-length halterneck sequinned dress that came complete with a matching head piece. Stars like Maya Jama warned fans she may miss out on the red carpet thanks to leaving her glam "so late", while Holly Willoughby was all smiles as she arrived at a hotel to get ready ahead of the NTAs earlier today.
