Bruce Willis' wife has shared the adorable nickname her daughter uses for her dad amid his dementia diagnosis.

Emma Heming Willis took to her social media account to share a touching tribute to her husband, showing off some of the most iconic characters he has played in a photo montage from movies including Die Hard, The Fifth Element and The Sixth Sense. She accompanied the post with a caption that revealed the touching moniker their daughter uses to refer to her dad.

She wrote: "As Evelyn would say, 'He's slay'." Emma recently opened up about how Evelyn, nine, has been helping to care for her Hollywood star father.

Bruce retired from acting when he was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. The condition affects behaviour and language and is an uncommon form of dementia which gradually affects the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain.

In May Emma shared a video to Instagram about how Evelyn has been helping to try and keep her dad as healthy as possible. She explained: "I have to tell you this story, and I'm going to try and do it without crying because when Evelyn told me this story, I was an absolute puddle."

She then elaborated on how Evelyn had informed her that people with dementia can suffer from dehydration prompting her mum to ask how she knew.

She explained: "She says, ‘Well, I was at school the other day, and I had some free time and I was looking at fun facts about dementia,' now that’s not funny, but it’s kind of funny. And she is her father’s child because these two love some just random facts."

She continued: "So, I said to her, 'OK, Evelyn, we will always make sure that Daddy has a bottle of water in hand. Thank you for letting me know.' I said, 'That is the most loving and compassionate thing that you can do is to be curious and educate yourself on your dad’s disease.'"

Emma - who also shares daughter Mabel, 11, with Bruce - was visibly overcome with emotion in the video clip. Bruce's daughter Scout, who he shares with ex-wife Demi Moore, also commented on the clip with an emotional response. She wrote: "Omg, Evelyn! That story made me a puddle of tenderness."
