Former Loose Women star Jane McDonald reflected on finding love after loss as she returned to the ITV show on Tuesday to discuss how she's coping following the death of her fiancé Eddie Rothe.

The TV personality opened up on how she was doing to host Jane Moore and panellists Denise Welch, Linda Robson and Brenda Edwards. Jane's fiancé Eddie Rothe, who she has often described as her "soul mate" died of lung cancer in March 2021.

She said: "I'm doing all right actually, due to my mates. I've got a real great network of girls. All single, some of us widowed and we have a great time. We go away and we eat out and we do things together and laugh until we have wet pants so I'm enjoying this part of my life now."

On whether she would date again, she continued: "I was very blessed to have a great relationship and I don't feel as if my life needs a man to complete it. I'm not saying I'm never gonna date again, I think that would be lovely. But, I don't feel as if I need someone in my life to make it complete."

Reflecting on whether her friends would like to find love again, Jane shared: "We're not sworn off men and we actually liked them. But, we have a good time so I don't think any of us are seriously looking."

Jane went on to share that she feels a "sense of freedom" at no longer sharing her home with a male companion. "I don't have to put the light out at a certain time, I can read in bed till four o'clock in the morning. I don't think I can through dating again."

ITV viewers were thrilled to see Jane back on the Loose Women panel as one fan begged: "Come back to Loose Women Jane #loosewomen," and another said: "What's not to like about Jane McDonald. She's so natural & genuine. Love her #Janemcdonald #loosewomen."

"Love Jane McDonald. A legend, an icon. #LooseWomen," a third added and someone else shared: "How brilliant to see @TheJaneMcDonald back in the panel today, wouldn't it be great to see her back more often...."
