The Grisso Mansion in Seminole, Oklahoma is on sale again in all of its Italian Renaissance, 12,000ft splendour - but there's one catch.

It's considered one of the most haunted historic homes in America. The mansion was built by a man who made a name for himself as the town's only 'pharmacist' in 1926, and ended up either marrying or taking custody of a Seminole woman who died a few years later, 'leaving' him a large swatch of land.

And that's how William Edward Grisso, who came to Oklahoma to be a missionary doctor, ended up owning most of the land when oil was struck. He became extremely wealthy and built a large home for his new wife, Maggie, and their 10 children. And if you live there long enough, you may get to meet the ghost of Maggie as well - according to local legends, anyway.

"The 4-bed, 6-bath mansion is fully furnished and sits on about 11 acres. The property includes a vineyard, 1,600 square-foot garage, an in-ground pool, pool house, gazebos, fountains, statues, courtyard, tennis and basketball courts, lily and koi ponds and an arboretum," according to The Oklahoman.

The tale around Grisso gets even spookier as he served as the town's only medical examiner for some time. Locals also say that his 'marriage' to a Seminole girl was extremely short lived, and that she 'died under mysterious circumstances' - which lines up with historical records. Grisso isn't the only American to come by land in this manner.

A short YouTube documentary exists discussing the history of the house and includes interviews and commentary from witnesses, investigators, and other people who have come into contact with the ghosts and the experiences they had.

According to the doctumentary, the body of a six-year-old boy was found on the property during the home's construction. It being 1925, there was no real investigation into this case.

According to Onlyinyourstate.com, there are more rumours that the ghost of the boy, and the Seminole woman that Grisso married, who was named Suda, can be found in the basement area. One 'paranormal investigator' who was allowed to walk through the house says that the boy's ghost's name is 'Micco.'

Those interviewed in the documentary say they've seen floating furniture and heard the piano playing on its own. Others report feeling 'heavy breathing' near them, or simply feeling 'strange' when they walk through or tour the property. But for those who live for that feeling and are willing to pay the $1.8 million asking price, this home is the perfect forever-Halloween mansion.
