Dwayne The Rock Johnson surprises a young fan with cancer with sweet gesture
The Rock gave one young fan who has cancer a priceless gift as he paid tribute to her on Instagram.
Dwayne Johnson uploaded a touching compilation video to his account of his meeting with young Luna Perrone who is suffering with Ewings Sarcoma. The clip features moments from when the pair finally met a few weeks ago as well as several clips from Luna's health journey.
Sharing the post with his followers Dwayne mentioned his own daughters and how meeting with Luna after two-years of contact with her over social media changed his perspective. He decided to surprise Luna with some special treats after her condition worsened when the cancer spread.
Posting the clip he wrote: "As a proud and grateful GIRL DAD of three beautiful daughters - when you finally meet the beautiful young girl who’s not only your biggest fan, but she’s also battling cancer and fights for her life...

Dwayne surprised Luna with a special lunch
Luna was delighted to finally meet her idol"It just has a sobering way of putting everything back into perspective. Reminds us of all the stuff in life that really matters and all the stuff the don’t. @luna_perrone is a REAL LIFE HERO and inspires everyone around her - including me.

Seeing his post Luna took to her own Instagram account where she documents her treatments and health battle and reposted the video thanking him for everything and admitting "it was a dream meeting you." She shared: "When I woke up this morning I saw this incredible video posted by @therock and it made me smile BIG!!!
"It was incredible to meet DJ when I was in LA and really made me realize and dreams can come true. I’ve been having a really hard time with treatment lately so now I can watch this video and think of some incredible times! Thank you for everything DJ and I’m so happy I get to call you my friend!"
Luna did a 'flex' pose with The Rock
The pair have become firm friends over the yearsIn the video the pair are seen meeting for the first time after The Rock talks about Luna in the kitchen of the Hotel Bel-Air. He said: "We have never met! Luna is so special, she’s one of the strongest girls on the planet. She’s been battling cancer for a few years now, unfortunately just received some news that the cancer has spread.
"She has no idea I’m gonna surprise her. I told her family, 'Tell Luna that I’m setting up a lunch for you guys at my favourite hotel, I’m sorry I can’t be there'." He is then seen heading out into the restaurant to serve an ecstatic Luna her lunch and to surprise the family with a trip to Disneyland during their dream holiday to Hawaii.
After the meeting he called Luna his hero and said he was her greatest fan. He said: "They say, don’t meet ever meet your heroes, because you’ll be disappointed - well I got to meet my hero and she was AWESOME."
