Traffic stop cop pulls vehicle over and saves baby that stopped breathing
Gut-wrenching dashcam footage shows the moment a hero cop pulled over a speeding vehicle and saved a baby in the car that wasn't breathing and was turning blue.
Warren Police Officer Brendan Fraser pulled over a Chevrolet Camaro for speeding on Tuesday, only to find the distraught driver appealing for his help.
The Michigan cop said: "I thought he was racing somebody, or maybe he was trying to get away from something. And then, really, now it made sense when he handed his baby over. He's headed to the hospital that's about three-quarters of a mile away."
Police say the child was turning blue and his eyes rolling back in his head. In the footage, one of the child's desperate parents can be heard yelling "Help, help we got a baby in here dying!"

Baby boy has spent his life in hospital as doctors are 'scared' to discharge himFraser can be seen trying to give the child blows to its back to make sure its airways were clear as the child's father dropped to his knees, seemingly praying for his baby's safety. The cop said he has a four-year-old stepson and found it difficult to imagine the panic the child's parents would have been suffering.
The child's mother had previously been to the hospital, where staff told her the baby had Covid. Later the stricken infant began seizing.
"It was a big relief, for sure," Fraser said of the incident. "When the child started breathing and you saw the color come back around its lips."
Fraser said it was "overwhelming" to re-watch the footage. "There’s really not much thought other than relying on the training..." Fraser said.
"Watching it now it’s kind of overwhelming but in the moment there’s really not much thought other than relying on the training," the officer continued.
He added: "Even if you live right next door to the hospital, I would say call 911. The dispatchers will tell you what to do and the paramedics will show up, especially with children." The baby was later transferred to St. John Hospital and thankfully recovered.

An officer from Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office in Colorado worked to save a child's life with CPR, shown in tense video footage showing the life-saving ordeal.
Deputy Nick Pacheco responded to a 911 call about a child who was not breathing and found a baby named Carlos choking and turning blue. Pacheco can be seen being let into a home and rushing into the baby's room before taking the child from its mother.
The sheriff said: "Deputy Pacheco immediately started CPR on the baby with chest compressions followed by back thrusts. The baby started to respond and was trying to dislodge what was blocking his airway. Deputy Pacheco turned the baby onto its stomach and provided several more back thrusts when the baby suddenly coughed up a white substance.
