Will Poulter is best known for his starring roles in hit movies like The Chronicles of Narnia, We're The Millers and Midsommar. The 30-year-old Brit has an impressive track record on the small screen too, having featured in the likes of Dopesick and The Bear.

His most recent role as Adam Warlock in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 saw him labelled Marvel's "golden boy" - a far cry from the humble start he made as Lee Carter in Son of Rambow 16 years ago. But the Hollywood big-timer is now getting some overdue recognition for another of his early forays into the acting world - the side-splitting E4 sketch show School of Comedy. Poulter co-wrote and starred as numerous characters in the series, which went viral on TikTok after fans were left in fits of laughter by the young star's gags.

Airing between 2009 and 2010, the show started out as a creation by the after-school drama club of The Harrodian School in London. After making Edinburgh Fringe Festival audiences chortle in a successful run of performances, the show and its teenage cast were commissioned for TV. Among Poulter's roles were that of an abrasive 'non-PC' school teacher, a stereotypical 'white van man' and a South African security guard.

In a sketch viewed more than 150,000 times on the social media platform, Poulter plays one of two sexist paramedics who jest about "bleedin' women drivers' as they treat a boy who has been run over. After the pair mock the motorist for suggesting the child has died, Poulter's colleague realises she is right, exclaiming: "Oh ****, she really is dead." The mood doesn't stay sombre for long, though, as he goes on to ask the driver: "How big's your boot?"
