Erling Haaland told KSI directly that he feels "the other guy" will win when he faces Tommy Fury later this year in a pay-per-view grudge fight.

The Manchester City striker is the latest major athlete to ink a big-money sponsorship deal with KSI and his business partner Logan Paul's drinks company Prime. As part of his new deal, he participated in a video shoot with the YouTube boxers as well as appearing on an episode of the American's podcast Impaulsive.

While making his appearance the show, the 23-year-old admitted that he was a fan of KSI's when he was growing up, before the Brit turned to boxing. But asked who would win between he and Fury in their October 14 pay-per-view bout at the AO Arena, he went with the betting consensus and picked the Love Island star.

Asked by Paul to give his prediction for the fight as if KSI weren't in the room, Haaland jokingly responded "the other guy". To that, KSI quipped back that he hopes the Manchester City star, who netted 52 times in all competitions last year, "scores no more goals with either foot".

"I saw the press conference," Haaland continued. "It kicked off a bit there, I think." When KSI joked that John Fury was "a bit of a lunatic," Haaland responded "yeah, I saw."

He grew up a massive football fan, in no small part due to the success his father Alfe Inge Haaland experienced in his days as a player. And he admitted to watching FIFA videos made by KSI with friends while coming up in Norway before striking it big as a footballer.

"I play video games and these kinds of things and I watch some series," he explained before Paul asked if it was true that he had been an early KSI viewer. "I watched a little bit when I was younger, me and my friends watched him and his brother [Deji], what was his name? Comedy Shorts Gamer.

"I watched a bit on YouTube when I was younger as many others did; Road to Division 1 [KSI's hit series that launched him to YouTube stardom] and these kinds of things so I knew who he was for a long time."
