Laura Anderson admits she feels 'defeated' as she awaits birth of first child
Laura Anderson is due to give birth any day now and, after reportedly reuniting with on-off boyfriend Gary Lucy and putting together their baby's nursery, she made a candid admission.
The heavily pregnant former Love Island star will give birth to her first child very soon but admitted she's feeling a little "defeated". She's certainly been busy and the excitement is growing as they count down the hours.
She gave her Instagram followers a little look at the baby's room featured a cot, nursing chair, a much-needed nappy changing station and plenty of toys. But, she says she has struggled to harvest her colostrum - the first form of milk produced by an expectant mum - on the first attempt, and that's left her a little beaten.
Laura posted: "Lil nursery sneak peek. My second attempt at harvesting colostrum was a success. First time round I gave up as it was just droplets. I felt defeated I won't lie. This morning I gave it another bash, going between the two nips lol a little droplet at a time and the syringe filled up. Feeling a sense of accomplishment. Our bodies are just crazy."
She can't wait to become a mum and is now thought to be back with ex Gary after being apart for most of her pregnancy. The couple met on the 2022 series of Celebs Go Dating and, months later, announced they were expecting their first child together. Shortly afterwards they revealed they had split – and dad-of-four Gary has since said it was down to his refusal to move to Laura’s native Scotland as his other kids live in Essex, which Laura denied.
Greggs, Costa & Pret coffees have 'huge differences in caffeine', says report"The truth always comes out in the end," the former flight attendant added, before refuting Gary's claims she dumped him over his refusal to move to her homeland. "I definitely did not tell Gary to move to Scotland," she insisted. Elsewhere in the video, she told fans she and Gary were "definitely not" on good terms following the split. It has now been speculated that the two have rekindled their love, however, just days ahead of Laura's due date.
It will be the first child for Laura, who previously dated Another Level singer Dane Bowers, but the fifth for Gary, who already shares four children with ex-wife Natasha Gray, who he tied the knot with in 2014. They are parents to India, 18, Elvis, 12, Sadie, seven, and four-year-old Theodore.
