Adele has been hailed as a "Queen" by fans after halting her show to defend a fan from disruptive security at her latest concert.

The North London singer stunned the crowd at her Las Vegas residency on Saturday, after she halted her performance of Water Under the Bridge to urge security to stop "bothering" a member of the audience. The 35-year-old was just about to launch into the sixth song on her Weekends with Adele setlist when she ordered her band to stop playing, before calling out an incident unfolding in the pews.

"Can we stop a minute?" she said, taking the mic to move towards the edge of the stage. "What is going on with that young fan there? He's been bothered so much for standing up. What's going on? What are you doing? Why are you bothering him? Can you leave him alone please?" She then reassured the fan he wouldn't pestered any more and urged him to "Enjoy the show, darling," before telling everyone, "He's here to have fun."

The unexpected speech received an eruption of applause and cheers from the audience, with screams of "Queen" and "Yes!" audible in the viral clip. "Sorry, guys," Adele said as the music resumed. "He's been bothered the whole show by security and the people sitting behind him."

The Grammy winner's online followers were quick to praise their idol's call out, with many taking to Twitter to share their reactions. "What an icon," one person wrote, while another said, "She knows how to handle it." The heartwarming moment comes just a week after Adele helped an expecting couple in the audience of her Vegas show find out the gender of the baby. The Tottenham native became visibly emotional as she revealed they'd be having a boy, and even invited them to return the favour for her "if and when" she gets pregnant.

Adele currently has one child, ten-year-old son Angelo Adkins, whom she co-parents with her ex-husband Simon Konecki. She has spoken about her plans to expand her family with fiancé Rich Paul, however, admitting that she 'definitely' wants more kids with the US sports agent.

Never one to disappoint in the style department, Adele stepped out on Friday and Saturday in a sparkling, long-sleeved maxi dress by Robert Wun. She paired the custom gown, which was hand embroidered with 15,000 clear crystals to create a rainfall effect, was with a glamourous blonde updo and her signature winged eyeliner.

Adele kicked off her Vegas residency in November 2021, after postponing the concert series at the last minute the previous January due to COVID-19 related delays. In March 2023, 34 additional shows were announced in response to the high demand for tickets. Adele described the cancellation of the shows as "the worst moment" of her career, calling the ordeal "devastating."
