Ryan Reynolds' 'heartwarming' post to wife Blake Lively confuses fans
Ryan Reynolds has paid tribute to his wife Blake Lively on her birthday with a "heartwarming" post about her, which left some fans confused and surprised on social media.
Blake, now 36, celebrated her birthday on Friday. Among those who marked the special occasion was her husband Ryan, 46 - whom she's been married to since 2012. He took to Instagram earlier to share a series of photos with fans.
The slideshow on the platform included a photo of Blake during an apparent date night at a beach. There were also photos of the couple together, including a selfie showing them embracing with a coastal backdrop behind them.
Ryan wrote in the caption: "The only thing irrevocably mine in the world is the love and appreciation and awe I feel for this person. Witnessing her life is something I couldn't take for granted if I tried. And believe me, I try." He added: "Happy Birthday, @blakelively. You hung the damn moon."
The post has amassed more than two million likes since it was uploaded earlier. It was liked by Blake and various other celebrities like Hugh Jackman, Kerry Washington, Gigi Hadid, Matt Bomer, Zoe Saldaña and Jennifer Aniston. Several fans also took to the comments section to share birthday wishes for Blake, while others expressed surprise over the post, with Ryan and Blake having been known to tease each other on their respective birthdays.

"Wow. You left her face in every photo. That's so serious love," said a third follower. Someone else wrote in the comments section: "Not going to lie, I thought you would have snuck in one poorly cropped picture in the reel lol."
A fifth person asked: "Is it weird that I'm crying over the cute photos even though I expected the worst pics per usual?" Whilst someone else said: "You posted normal pictures this time." Another said: "Omg what they're all nice pics!"
Another fan reacted: "What's going on?? It's actually a non-unhinged bday post." Another teased: "This is SO romantic, I wasn't expecting that from you". Whilst another asked: "Is this the first time he's not mocking her on her birthday?"
