Ferne McCann, star of The Only Way is Essex, has shared her eagerness for her body to recover following the birth of her second child, Finty, last month.

Ferne, 33, and her fiance Lorri Haines welcomed baby Flinty into their home. However, the reality TV star confessed to OK! magazine things didn't go quite as expected with her birth. She said: "I got the home birth I wanted however its nothing like how I imagined and it didn't go to plan. The plan went out the window. My life never goes to plan, so you've just got to go with it."

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, the mother-of-two posted two photos of herself, proudly showing her post-baby body and opened up about her post-pregnancy journey in a heartfelt caption. "Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. My experience this time round is completely different after giving birth to [daughter] Sunday. My body seems to be taking longer to go back to normal (whatever that is supposed to look like!) and in the last couple of days Ive noticed an impatience with myself," Ferne wrote.

She continued, encouraging self-love and acceptance, "You can either pick yourself apart or you can shower yourself with kindness & love. From today, Im picking the latter! My body created & carried my baby girls so how can I insult it? But in my low moments thats exactly what Ive done and Im sure many women can relate to this."

In a candid revelation, the star shared: "So... Im getting comfortable with the uncomfortable, owning it all! This is where Im at, this is how I look and its up to me to start making some healthy changes to my life to start feeling strong physically and mentally and comfortable in my own skin. Im on my mission to get back on track, eat nourishing foods, go for my walks, do some kind of exercise 3 times a week."

She extended an invitation to her fans, saying, "For anyone that would like to join me on my journey or would like know what my daily routine is feel free to drop me a message with and Ill be happy to share with you. I want to encourage and inspire anyone that would like to make some healthier changes to their life."

Ferne's empowering message resonated with her 2.9 million followers, many of whom responded with words of encouragement and advice on managing nutrition.

Among the flood of supportive comments were messages such as, "Yes! Your body is amazing & your job is just to look after it as best you can as it looks after you" and "I think you look great! But I admire you wanting to get back on it! I never had that motivation when I had my kids (a long time ago now) which I regret as its harder as you get older."

One follower offered practical advice, stating: "You'll get there but allow a good year and dont rush it. Counting macros is a really effective way to manage ur nutrition and lose body fat (not that ur overweight) from pregnancy. I remember getting my body to its fittest a year or two after having my second so its definitely gonna happen for u x."
