Blazin' Squad share historic feud with the Sugababes after cheeky pranks
The members of former rap group Blazin Squad have revealed that they had an ongoing fued with the Sugababes to the point where their intense competition with each other became physical.
Speaking openly during an interview with Geordie Shore's Vicky Pattison while on her podcast The Secret To, Sam Foulkes, who went by the stage name of Spike-E, said: "We used a proper have it backwards and forwards with them!" He added: "They used to spray like shaving foam and shampoo [over the boys rooms] and all that sort of stuff. A good laugh to be honest."
Recalling the same memory, Marcel Somerville, who was better known as Rocky B, added: "Oh, yea, we had a water fight them!" The group first shot to fame more than two decades ago with their chart topping remake of Crossroads, which was first released by US hip-hop group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.

But a year later, Strider (Mustafa Omer), Flava (James Murray) and Kenzie (Jamie McKenzie), were signed to Polydor Records and began recording an album under the name of Friday Hill, which is an area in Chingford, East London.
But by 2006 their deal was scrapped once again. However, undeterred, it was announced three years later that they were to reunite with the addition of former bandmates Krazy (Lee Bailey) and Rocky B (Marcel Somerville) for a Greatest Hits album.

During the height of their fame, the group recalled that they were left open mouthed when they came face to face with artists including Beyonce and Oasis. Continuing their interview with Vicky, Sam added: "When we saw a lot of famous people, we were properly gassed [excited] because it was like we weren't used to seeing famous people. I remember the first time we were in the BBC, and we see Oasis. We were just like, ‘Oh my god!’."
And Oliver Georgeiou added: "There’s moments where you're like, ‘Wow!’, and you’re standing next to Beyonce on Top of the Pops!" But it wasn't all fun and games. When asked what their professional highs and lows were, Sam revealed: "I think for me personally like when I actually thought, ‘Oh my god, like we're actually big’, is when we first did Party in the Park in Hyde Park. It was 100,000 people and I met Prince Charles [...] When I walked on that stage, one of the boys, he was so shook [scared] he threw up! He ran off stage!"
But Marcel then revealed the moment they were told that they had been dropped from their label. He added: "It was weird though, because I remember being round Flava’s, [James] Murray’s house and like, he got a call. And they called him and were like ‘Oh, like they're not, they're not taking the option on the third album’, and I remember me and him, like being like, ‘Wow! What are we going to do now?’"
But fast forward to 2017 and the group's popularity was reignited after Marcel appeared on Love Island. Desperately trying to keep his boyband life a secret when he first entered the villa, Marcel soon crumbled and decided to tell his housemates of his musical past.
