After months of transfer talk around the Saudi Pro League, the attention is now switching to the action on the pitch.

The league is now in its third week of games, however, it wouldn't be the Saudi Pro League without a transfer storm and true to form, the league is still causing waves across the game, with Al-Hilal just recently clinching the signing of Brazilian superstar Neymar. The world famous attacker has joined the Saudi Pro League side in a €100million (£86.3m) deal that will see him reportedly earn an astonishing £129m-a-year.

The start to the league has been eventful to say the least, with some old rivals once again going head to head, with Steven Gerrard's Al-Ettifaq getting the better of Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr in round one of fixtures. As it stands, Al-Ittihad FC, Al Ahli SC and Al-Ettifaq are all locked on six points at the top of the table, while Al Nassr are sitting in an unfamiliar 15th place after losing both their games so far.

It has been Gerrard who has made the headlines with his Al-Ettifaq side winning both their games and only conceding one goal in the process. However, it looks to be a long season with several challengers for the title with Al-Hilal on four points behind the three teams leading the way.

Neymar is just the latest mega star to joining the league that is already stacked with talent with the likes of Karim Benzema, Jordan Henderson, Sadio Mane, Riyad Mahrez, Roberto Firmino, N'Golo Kante, Kalidou Koulibaly, Édouard Mendy and Fabinho just some of the talent to have joined Cristiano Ronaldo in plying their trade in the league. The only place to watch Saudi Pro League games in the UK is with DAZN, which will be screening three of the top games from the league every week.
