Chloe Madeley and James Haskell celebrated their daughter turning one with a lavish underwater-themed party alongside grandparents Richard and Judy.

The 36-year-old reality star became a first time mum last year when she welcomed daughter Bodhi with 38-year-old Rugby star boyfriend James. Chloe is, of course, the daughter of Good Morning Britain host Richard Madeley and former This Morning presenter Judy Finnigan.

The family all came together to mark Bodhi's first birthday, with James admitting it is "scary" how quick the time has gone. Bodhi was treated to an extravagant bash as she turned one alongside her friends and family. Chloe planned the whole event, while James kept everyone fed on barbecue duty and Richard lent a helping hand by carving the meat and serving the food. The couple's house was transformed with 300 balloons, decorated archways and a candy cart for the children.

“Chloe did an amazing job. It’s not often we can all get together, so it was really nice," James shared with OK!. Birthday girl Bodhi was unsure about one moment of her big day - a cake smash. The idea is to put a cake in front of children turning one and let them wreak havoc on it, in the hopes of capturing some perfect pics. However, Bodhi had other ideas and didn't fancy getting her hands dirty. Chloe explained she poked her fingers into the cake, had a taste and was done. "She didn’t want to do the full cake smash. She’s no daughter of mine!” Chloe joked.

James also shared how he didn't want to give Bohdi any presents for her birthday. He thought about giving her "a big box with wrapping paper on the outside and wrapping paper on the inside because that’s what she’s more interested in". However, he was quickly told he was being "a Scrooge". “He ended up buying a £200 parental remote control Lamborghini! I think that’s extortionate for a first birthday gift, but Bodhi absolutely loves it," Chloe shared.

The proud dad emotionally wrote an Instagram post for his daughter's birthday, saying: "My little princess is 1! I can’t believe it. I am not sure I ever really understood love and emotion properly until we had you. Ive never cried as much as I have in the last year! Im not the best man in the world, I get it wrong a lot but I will always love you and be there for you. I will protect you with my life."

Chloe and James welcomed their daughter Bodhi into the world together last August, with Chloe being very open about the tricky road to becoming a mother and conceiving a child. She has also admitted she hasn't found every moment easy and becoming a parent has left her a stronger woman.

Celebrating her child's first birthday last week, she shared a sweet compilation video to her Instagram page. Captioning the post Chloe wrote: "My baby girl is 1. I have a baby girl. And she is 1 year old. Sentences that still feel alien to me, but the last year has been a journey and a meaning I never could have imagined for myself. I never knew what it would feel like, and it feels like a crashing wave of pure, undiluted love on my soul and on my life, and I can’t lie, with that has come A LOT of fear.

"Oh Bodhi, what did we do to get so lucky? You are the happiest, smiliest, friendliest, most affectionate, adventurous, independent, funny, sweet natured bulldozer of a character. You are my core, my heart, my anchor, my reason, my everything. I love you. So much. I hope one day you read this, and I hope you feel immensely, overwhelmingly loved. I hope you feel loved every day of your life. Because you are. I love you. To the ends of the earth and back. More than anything or anyone. It’s you and me. Always forever."
