Britney Spears planning to release new album amid split from husband Sam Asghari

Britney Spears is putting her heartache to good use and is planning to start writing her new album amid her recent split from burgeoning actor, Sam Asghari. It was revealed earlier this week that the pair had called time on their marriage after just one year, but they were said to be dating for the past six years.

Sam is said to have moved out of the marital home he shared with Britney after a "nuclear" argument. An insider told TMZ: "It's only a matter of time before Sam files for divorce." Sam allegedly approached Britney about cheating rumours.

While it isn't clear if the rumours are true, the source said that what ensued was a heated argument. Britney has been photographed driving near their LA home without her wedding ring, and snaps of Sam on his Instagram show he's also ditched his.

Now it's been revealed that the Toxic singer "has an upcoming writers camp" and is "getting songs from some big artists," a source close to the star told Page Six. It's also been said that Britney is is frantically rewriting her memoir to include her divorce battle, the Mirror can reveal.

The star’s autobiography The Woman in Me is due out on October 24. But after her shock split from Sam, she is now to reveal all about her marriage breakdown. Britney is also to release new music, which pals say is taking her mind off the break up.

A source said: "To have such a major moment omitted from the book would be senseless. “Her fans want to know what was behind the split. “Britney is keen to ensure she takes control of the narrative, and there is no better way than to say what happened in her own words in her book."

Iranian-American actor Asghari, 29, filed for divorce on August 16, 14 months after the couple were married. He cited "irreconcilable differences". It comes amid claims of Britney’s infidelity, reported rows and her odd behaviour online.

The three-times wed singer has hired celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser. Despite the heartache, Britney is said to be "in great spirits" and working on new projects. A source said: "She would love to do a new record soon, and maybe a powerful song for the book’s release."
