Kate Beckinsale posts teary selfie as beloved mum Judy is hospitalised
Kate Beckinsale has shared an emotional post on Instagram as she revealed her mum has been hospitalised.
The actress, 50, broke down in tears as she told her followers to "fight with everything you've got for your loved ones". Among a carousel of photos, Kate's mum Judy Loe, 76, can be seen receiving treatment in hospital while, in another, her daughter cradles her cat Clive, who died in June.
Kate captioned the post: "Embrace joy. Accept grief. Wear feathers. Sing. Do what makes you feel happy even for a moment. Pair grief and sickness and fear with as much life and laughter and celebration as you possibly can. It doesn't mean you are having some sort of crisis. It means you are choosing life , fiercely. Be brave, and when you don't feel brave, listen.

The mum-of-one's famous friends flocked to wish the Jolt star well, with Selling Sunset's Chrishell Stause, Paris Hilton and Alyssa Milano all sending messages of support.

Kate paid tribute to her "dearest friend" on Mother's Day in March posting a video of herself lip-syncing along to Your Love by The Outfield, using a kitchen whisk as her microphone and holding cups to her ears as headphones. Judy then joins her daughter, who grabs her own kitchen utensil as the pair both sing along to the song.

In June, the daughter of the late actor John Beckinsale took to Instagram to reveal her beloved pet cat Clive had passed away, admitting she didn't "have it in" her "to make a montage of even look at pictures of him yet." Sharing snaps of the "distinguished gentleman", who sports an adorable pink pig-printed onesie, she said: "Every single part of my house feels like he should be in it If anyone is expecting to hear from me, you may not for a bit and I'm sorry. My heart is absolutely and totally broken."
