It has been three years since Princess Beatrice married her millionaire husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi - but despite his property fortune, the pair kept their ceremony rather low-key.

The happy couple tied the knot during an intimate ceremony which took place at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge, Windsor, on July 17, 2020.

Buckingham Palace didn't release a statement until the day after the wedding, which addressed that it went ahead "with the kind permission of Her Majesty The Queen."

According too the palace, Beatrice and Edoardo decided to hold a private service with their "closest family" as they adhered to Covid-19 guidelines. Despite amending the arrangements, they still managed to make their day special with heartfelt details.

Beatrice honoured her grandmother by wearing a vintage dress by Norman Hartnell, which was on loan from Queen Elizabeth II. She accessorised the elegant number with Queen Mary's diamond fringe tiara, which was also used by the Queen during her own nuptials to Prince Phillip. Meanwhile, Edoardo donned a unique morning suit and wore a vintage gold band which was made by Josh Collins. Beatrice's ring was created by Shaun Leane, reports Tatler.

The royal held a stunning summer bouquet which featured jasmine, pale pink and cream sweet pease, pink o’hara garden roses, among other flowers. Her bouquet was then positioned on the tomb of the Unknown Warrior in Westminster Abbey, in line with tradition. The historic homage first began with the Queen Mother ( Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon ) back in 1923. She started the tradition in memory of her brother Fergus.

As part of Beatrice and Edoardo's sweet nuptials, their mothers both read out their most favoured poems. It was reported that prayers were also read. The Queen and the late Prince Phillip attended their special day. Beatrice was joined by her father Prince Andrew down the asile, while Edoardo's son Wolfie was named as the best man and page boy.

Images released after the wedding showed the couple leaving the church, side-by-side with the monarch and Prince Philip. In a recent Instagram post, Edoardo paid tribute to his wife and said: "Happy wedding anniversary to the most beautiful wife in the world. I am so grateful for every moment we have shared, every challenge we have overcome, and every dream we have pursued together. I love you more than words can say, and I can’t wait to celebrate many more anniversaries with you.”
