Raya transfer slammed as Barcelona send Fati message amid Arsenal interest
Arsenal are looking to mount another Premier League title challenge this year, having narrowly missed out to Manchester City by just five points last season.
The Gunners have invested heavily in the transfer market so far, forking out more than £200m to sign Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber. Several players have also left the club, including Granit Xhaka, Pablo Mari and Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
Arsenal will kick off the new season at home against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, having already beaten City on penalties to win the Community Shield, and Mirror Football has taken a look at all of the transfer news emerging out of the Emirates.
Barcelona send Fati message
Arsenal have been linked with a move for Ansu Fati and Barcelona boss Xavi has admitted the forward could leave this summer.
According to Spanish outlet Sport, Arsenal have 'taken a serious interest' in Fati and made a 'very tempting offer' for him. Although the report states that Barcelona rejected the bid, Xavi has admitted Financial Fair Play could force the club to reconsider.
Pep Guardiola went back on his word after blocking last-ditch Barcelona transfer"Until August 31, a lot of things can happen," Xavi said when asked about Fati's future. "It will depend a lot on Financial Fair Play for us."
Raya blasted
Former Chelsea star Frank Leboeuf has slammed David Raya, with the Brentford goalkeeper on the verge of a move to Arsenal.
"I don't understand the players anymore," Leboeuf toldESPN."As you said, they don't want to play football, it's just about the club they play for and the money they get. Really, what is the point? You play in the Premier League, you have been outstanding and now you're going to sit on the bench.
"We read the article with Ramsdale and we know how highly Arteta ranks him, there is no chance for Raya, unless Ramsdale gets injured, to play so again what was the point? Yes, Arsenal are a big club, bigger than Brentford, but what's the point of going on the bench for the Gunners? I don't get it, you will have some clubs coming up and you could sign, maybe not for a club as big as the Gunners but really at least you will play football."

Turner joins Forest
With Raya now expected to join Arsenal and provide competition for Aaron Ramsdale, goalkeeper Matt Turner has left the Emirates to join Nottingham Forest.
The American international joined the Gunners from MLS side New England Revolution last summer and made seven appearances in all competitions. Turner has signed a four-year deal with Forest and is their fourth signing this summer. "It feels great to be here," he said. "It's a great challenge and a great step in my career.
"When I heard that there was interest to bring me here, it just felt right for my family, it felt right when my agent spoke to me about it and it feels like the right move for me right now. The manager and the backroom staff, everything about the club has a little sparkle to it. It's felt right from the start and I'm happy it's got done."
