N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos has revealed she has been celibate for two years.

The singer said that she is currently "courting" but will not been sleeping with anyone until she is monogamous with a partner. The 35-year-old has explained that she is letting friendships develop naturally and will see if they blossom into anything romantic.

During an interview, Tulisa said that she isn't looking to "date" anyone at the moment and is focused on forming relationships instead. The star has had a number of high profile relationships in the past but has more recently kept her love life more private.

During an appearance on The Zeze Millz Show, she admitted: "I don’t date, I court. I have been celibate for the past two years so no sex before monogamy.

"So basically you are courting because you like to build friendships before you start dating, you just don’t shag them and you get to know them. I have got friendships that I am building."

Tulisa has been in public relationships with the likes of Cher's music producer David King, multi-millionaire playboy Costas Panayiotou, former The Wanted star Max George, actor Jody Latham, and her N-Dubz bandmate Richard Rawson. The revelation comes after Tulisa appeared on Good Morning Britain when she was asked about her troubled past by Ranvir Singh. She was on the ITV show to promote N-Dubz's latest album alongside bandmates Dappy and Fazer.

After discussing the band's comeback Ranvir said: "Tulisa you're still very young and you've already been through a midlife crisis", before going on to ask the star if her years in the public eye had "taken their toll". However, Tulisa decided to respond in a positive manner as she said: "No, I’m feeling amazing, life is fantastic, and I wouldn’t rather be doing anything else."

Back in 2014 Tulisa was found not guilty in court over allegations of brokering a drug deal with Sun investigative reporter, Fake Sheikh Mahzer Mahmood. During a BBC Three documentary filmed during her trial, she said she had been left with thoughts of taking her own life and "necked pain killers with vodka".

Then in 2016 she pled guilty to drink driving and was given a 15-month ban after crashing her £150,000 Ferrari in north London.
