King Charles will never strip Harry and Meghan of their titles, expert claims
King Charles will not strip Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of their royal titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex no matter what happens in the future, according to a royal expert.
According to a source close to the Palace, King Charles will not remove these titles as a special gift from Queen Elizabeth II. Author Robert Jobson, who wrote Our King Charles III: The Man and the Monarch Revealed shared with the Daily Express that even if Meghan were to become President, her title being removed is “just not going to happen."
When Prince Harry and Meghan made the announcement they planned to step back from their royal duties back in 2020, they initially asked if it would be possible to do a half-in-half-out situation. But Queen Elizabeth II immediately shut down this idea, and told the couple that they would need to be all-in or nothing - an ultimatum in which the couple decided to choose nothing. As a result in 2021, the monarch stripped them of their honorary royal patronages and military appointments.
After leaving England, the famous couple were able to keep their title of Duke and Duchess of Sussex but they are not being addressed as His/Her Royal Highness as they once were. And ater the Queen's death in September of last year, many royal fans wondered how King Charles was going to handle Prince Harry after his controversial Netflix series and novel.
When Jobson spoke to a source close to the Palace, he asked if King Charles would ever remove the couple's current title, to which the insider responded: “It's just going to rock everybody and create a story that will shake the Hornet's Nest again. And as a result, it's not going to achieve anything" they continued: "It’s definitely very unlikely that Harry will ever be King, so why play a problem?”
Oprah Winfrey snubs Harry and Meghan as expert claims 'the tide has turned'King Charles revealed later that he does not want to strip Prince Harry of his title because it was given to him by the late Queen as a wedding present. But the king did, however, evict Prince Harry and Meghan from the Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, England after they left the royal family.
