Sandra Bullock's blended family make-up with 'love of life' as partner dies
On Monday it was announced that Bryan Randall, the longtime partner of actress Sandra Bullock, had died over the weekend after a three-year-long battle with ALS.
The couple had been dating since 2015, after Bryan, who worked as a photographer, was enlisted to photograph the actress' child's party. Rumours and reports claim he was hired to photograph Sandra's son, Louis, whom she adopted in 2010, for his birthday. They began dating a few months after and then made their red carpet debut that October.
Not much was ever revealed about their family life, but in 2017 a source lifted the lid.

Sandra adopted her son Louis (FilmMagic)Us Weekly reported that a source gushed over the couple’s dynamic as parents to a blended family of three kids. The blended family comprised of Sandra's two adopted children, Louis and Laila, and Bryan's daughter from his previous marriage, Skylar.
Speaking to the outlet, the source said: "Bryan has fully stepped up and embraced the dad role. He is 100 percent there for Louis and Laila and wonderful with them in every way. Sandy feels incredibly fortunate and blessed that she is sharing the parenting journey with Bryan."

And then when appearing on Jada Pinkett Smith's Red Table Talk, Sandra spoke candidly about her family life with Bryan and their kids. "I found the love of my life. We share two beautiful children, three children—his older daughter. It’s the best thing ever," she gushed.
Sandra also previously said that Bryan was "the example that I would want my children to have", before addressing how she had a Christian partner and how they didn't always agree on things, adding: "But he is an example even when I don’t agree with him."

A family statement read: "It is with great sadness that we share that on Aug. 5, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with ALS. Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request."
The statement continued: "We are immensely grateful to the tireless doctors who navigated the landscape of this illness with us and to the astounding nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours. At this time we ask for privacy to grieve and to come to terms with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan."
