Logan Paul to fight Conor McGregor teammate Dillon Danis in boxing comeback
Logan Paul will return to the boxing ring on October 14 as a co-headliner to KSI vs Tommy Fury when he faces Dillon Danis in Manchester.
The YouTube star hasn't fought since his 2021 battle with Floyd Mayweather, but has confirmed this evening that he will return to the AO Arena where his boxing career began to face Bellator MMA fighter Danis. Neither man has won a professional boxing fight, with the New Jersey native making his ring debut after four years out of the MMA cage.
Paul will be heavily favoured to get the win, with Misfits likely to have a replacement lined up in case of a pullout from Danis, who was supposed to fight KSI in January. The jiu-jitsu black belt is a close friend and teammate of Conor McGregor's and has been seen training with the Irishman in recent footage, as well as former UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira.
"October 14 I return to boxing after fighting Floyd Mayweather over 2 years ago," Paul wrote in a social media post announcing the bout today, before declaring that he believes his rival will not make it to the fight. "I doubt this little parasite will show up but if he does I’m going to erase him from existence."
Danis added his own statement on social media, sharing the pair's fight poster and declaring that it was the "main event" in a tweet that read: "I'll be gracing the boxing ring for my debut. Gotta show up because the Paul sisters have a phobia when it comes to actual combat."

KSI responded to the announcement by begging his pal: "Please knock him out for me," while McGregor took to Twitter to share his support for Danis. He tweeted a fire emoji along with a message that read: "Dillon Danis returns!"

The bout between Paul and Danis will serve as a double main event with KSI vs Tommy Fury on what is being billed as 'The PRIME card' by Misfits Boxing. KSI and his former rival are the co-founders of energy drink company Prime, which is where the event's name has come from - with promoters promising the 'Super Bowl of influencer boxing' to fans.
Danis is one of fight sports' most notorious trolls, and is better known for his regular callouts than his actual fighting experience. He is a renowned black belt in jiu-jitsu and won his two Bellator fights with ease, but has been out of action with a knee injury among other issues for the past four years.
Logan Paul, on the other hand, has been forced to watch from the sidelines as his brother Jake forges a successful boxing career - most recently defeating Nate Diaz on Saturday night in his return to winning ways. Meanwhile, the elder sibling has been plying his trade in the WWE, emerging as one of their biggest stars.
