Nick Diaz has called for a fight against Jake or Logan Paul following his brother Nate's boxing debut.

YouTube boxer Jake dropped Nate on the way to winning a unanimous decision in their fight over the weekend and brother Nick is now keen on avenging the defeat. It marked a return to the win column for Jake following his defeat to Tommy Fury in February whilst Nate was making his ring debut after spending the last 15 years competing for the UFC.

Nick, who turned 40 last week, has fought just once in the last eight years as he was stopped by fellow UFC legend Robbie Lawler in September 2021. The elder Diaz brother still believes he is able to hang with the younger generation and is open to fighting Jake if Nate doesn't pursue a second fight against him.

"Let’s cut to the chase, I’m a lot better than both of these guys that are out there. I’d love to entertain the idea of moving on in whoever they’ve got for me. So if they want to do round two [against Jake], if [Nate] ain’t going to do it, I’ll take it. Jake’s got an older brother too, so don’t forget about the one and only," Nick said after his brother's fight.

Nick already has a win on his professional boxing record as he beat Alfonso Rocha by decision in 2005. Unlike his younger brother, Nick is still under UFC contract so he would need an exemption from his duties with the promotion if he wanted to step foot in the ring to face Jake or Logan.

“I’d like to get a good look at what’s going on because I don’t know what’s happening, but I like to keep options open. I’d like to entertain something in the near future. We could talk about that. It could be a possibility. Either way, yeah, one of those two, or maybe something else. Who knows? I’ve got a lot going on right now, but we can sort that out," Diaz added.

“I try to stay away from the fight game in general, because I’m all the way in. It’s all or nothing. I’m never one foot in, one foot out. Coming here today, I just feel that I have a little bit of an opportunity to open up a little bit of a window. If that’s what it is, then just let it be known — I’m still motivated as ever, and I’m a harder worker and better fighter than anybody that’s out here in this right now in this day and age.”
