Love Island's Abi confirms romantic texts with Jess' little brother and celeb

Love Island's Abi has revealed she's had a few big name celebs slide into her DMs since going on the show.

While she didn't find love on the ITV2 dating show after getting dumped by 'Messy Mitchel' and then friend-zoned by Scott, Abi smiled as she said her love life is certainly looking up now she's back in the real world.

Asked by TV host Sam Thompson: "Have the DMs been popping? Have you been feeling the love since you came out?" A laughing Abi replied: "Do you know what to begin with, it was a load of love from a load of girls having my back and it was unreal."

She continued: "But yeah, now I've got a few like blue ticks sliding into the DMs." But she stopped short of saying who the famous people were when Sam urged her to "name them".

Holding her hands up, Abi told the audience: "No, no, no - no kiss and tells." Then in a surprise confession, she then turned to her co-star Jess, who won this year's summer Love Island series with boyfriend Sammy and said: "But I do know someone who is a member of the audience - Jess, you're little brother! A smiling Jess hit back: "Yeah, I know."

Fans took to Twitter to give their verdicts on Abi's shock bombshell with one saying: "Jess' brother in Abi's DMs" followed by the eye emojis. While another said: "Oh, that is Jess's brother who stole the show on Aftersun and has slide into Abi's DMs."

A third wrote: "Ohhh that Jess brother slid into Abi's Dms?? LMAOOOO she need to get on it and upgrade."

Abi also won praise with fans for bringing the drama in what was otherwise a fairly boring reunion episode. As well as dropping the DM comments, she also told Mitch she thought she had a better connection with Mitch as new girlfriend Ella B sat next to him in the studio.

She also dropped one of the best one liners of the series when she said she had been "gaslit by a gas engineer" in reference to how Mitch treated during her time on the show.

This generated even more love from fans, with one commenting: "Abi ur forever famous for 'after being gas lit by a gas engineer'." Another wrote: '"After being gaslit by a gas engineer', Scott is rubbing off on Abi."

"Never did I think I'd find Abi entertaining, but wow she was the MOST entertaining," said a third, while a fourth said: "Abi!!! Love she stole that segment."

A fifth chimed in: "Nah Abi ATE that up tonight, had Mitch steaming up like ramen." While a sixth added: "The reunion didn't give much tonight but one thing it did give was Abi having her time to SPEAK, as our girl deserves."
