Chart-topping rapper Drake lost his huge $250,000 bet on Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz after the YouTuber outpointed the UFC legend in Dallas, Texas last night.

The God's Plan hitmaker has previously been complimentary of the Paul brothers, but told fans on social media that he couldn't resist lumping the eye-watering sum on UFC legend Diaz. He has previously put massive sums on different UFC and boxing fights, more often than not losing gigantic amounts through his partnership with online bookie Stake.

He previously bet $400,000 on Paul to beat Love Island star and professional boxer Tommy Fury, which cost him big time as the social media sensation was handed his first defeat. Prior to that he had lost another series of six-figure bets on Jorge Masvidal against Colby Covington and Justin Gaethje's world title loss to Charles Oliveira.

Writing on Instagram, Drake shared a photo of his bet slip with the caption “Jake is a dog but I can never bet against a Diaz brother. That’s just how I was raised." Paul hit back in his pre-fight promotion, writing on social media "Drake losing his bet, should have played Betr Picks." Paul was proved right as he was awarded a unanimous decision victory having dropped Diaz in the fifth round.

Drake's biggest win came in March when he backed UFC legend Jon Jones to become a two-weight champion in his heavyweight title comeback against Ciryl Gane. The musician staked $250,000 on 'Bones' to win by submission, which he did within the first round and also $250,000 for him to win by knockout.

Jones' three-minute submission win returned $1.7million, the better result for Drake who would have banked $1.3m if the fighter had won his belt by KO. It wasn't his only big win; a $1m bet on former champion Israel Adesanya to beat Jared Cannonier in their middleweight title clash at UFC 276 came through.

And the singer known for songs such as "rich flex" finally returned on his six-figure bets last summer when Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann won their respective fights UFC London. The Liverpool duo were then gifted luxury Rolex watches as a thank you after winning him a $3.6m payday.
