Twilight's Rosalie is unrecognisable 15 years after playing 'beautiful' vampire
Twilight star Nikki Reed looks very different from her role in the film series more than a decade after it launched.
The actor, now 35, is known for having played Rosalie Hale in the film series. She first played the vampire in Twilight (2008) and reprised the role in the four sequels, including in the final instalment in the series, Breaking Dawn - Part 2 (2012).
The character was the adoptive sister of Edward Cullen (played by Robert Pattison) and the wife of Emmett Cullen (Kellan Lutz). She was in their vampiric family like Jasper Hale (Jackson Rathbone) and Alice Cullen (Ashley Greene).
As stated by the actor, Rosalie was characterised as "the most beautiful woman in the world." And although initially jealous of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), the character later supported Edward's wife during her pregnancy.
Nikki sported blonde hair and a pale complexion for the role, like some of her co-stars in the film series. Rosalie appeared throughout with blonde hair, though off-screen the actor behind the character had a darker hair colour.
Newsboy's horse racing tips for Wednesday meetings, including Newcastle NapShe has continually had darker hair than Rosalie in the years since, with Nikki having been brunette for much of her career. She doesn't look much like her character in photos from recent years, including in those taken on red carpets.
Since appearing in the franchise, Nikki has been in other films like Empire State (2013) and Jack Goes Home (2016). She also had a recurring role as Betsy Ross in Sleepy Hollow, and has appeared in other shows like Dollface and V-Wars.
She appears to have taken a break from acting in recent years. Nikki is also a designer, including having collaborated with brand Loci on a vegan trainer collection. She's also the founder and CEO of the jewellery brand BaYou with Love.
Nikki has also released music during her career, including with her now ex-husband Paul McDonald. Their album I'm Not Falling was released in 2014 and they had a song, All I've Ever Wanted, on the Breaking Dawn - Part 2 soundtrack.
She's currently in a relationship with fellow actor Ian Somerhalder, 44. Like his wife, Ian is known for having played a vampire on-screen. He played played Damon Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries from 2009 until 2017.
They have been married since 2015 and have two children together, including Bodhi, six. It was announced in June this year that weeks prior, the couple had welcomed their second child, whose name has yet to be announced.
