The heartbroken brother of Moors Murders victim John Kilbride has died aged 68.

Terry Kilbride had spoken on numerous occasions about how evil child killers Ian Brady and Mrya Hindley ruined his life, saying he would live with the "nightmare" until his final day.

John, 12 when he was killed, was one of the murderous couple's five child victims, all of whom were buried on Saddleworth Moor in Greater Manchester between July 1963 and October 1965.

Speaking about the loss of his brother, Terry previously said: "My anger will remain until the day I die.”. Terry, of Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, reportedly died on Saturday surrounded by family, his partner Nicola said.

Terry had also grew close to family of victim Keith Bennett, 12 when he was murdered by Ian and Mrya. Keith’s brother Alan wrote on Facebook: “Very sad to hear of the death of Terry Kilbride. RIP Terry."

John Kilbride would have celebrated his 66th birthday on the day Brady died. Speaking to the Manchester Evening News in 2017, John said" “I’ve always had that anger. It will always be there. We’ve had to live with it because of what they did. It will always be there until the day I die.

"Like other families, there are brothers and sisters who should be there. Think of what they would be, growing up, and what they would be like as a person and where they would have worked. It’s all been taken away from us."

After reports that Brady would be cremated in his native Glasgow following his death in May 2017, Terry insisted he should simply have been interred in the grounds of the high-security Ashworth Hospital on Merseyside, where he was being kept.

Brady was jailed for life in 1966 and was moved to Ashworth Hospital in 1985 after being declared criminally insane. Hindley - dubbed “the most evil woman in Britain” - was jailed in May 1966 for her part the series of brutal murders with lover Brady.

Brady and Hindley were jailed for the brutal murders of Lesley Ann Downey, 10, John Kilbride, 12, and 17-year-old Edward Evans.

Years later while in prison they also confessed to the murders of Keith Bennett, 12, and 16-year-old Pauline Reade. After killing their victims the couple buried them on Saddleworth Moors.
