Paltrow said: "My Montecito home is my sanctuary for respite and mental clarity. I go there to recharge, to daydream about what we’re building at goop and to reconnect with my family and treasured friends. Whether you’re seeking a place for unexpected connection or for well-deserved solitude and reflection, when you come to stay, I hope you’ll get as much joy out of the home as I do. Plus, I’ve loaded up your stay with some of my favourite goop essentials to nourish your body, mind and soul."
The actor and husband Brad Falchuk bought the Montecito mansion in 2016, clearly attracted to its 14,000 square feet of space and Olympic sized pool. The couple had 60 solar panels installed as well as more trees on the property.
Paltrow formerly opened the home up to Architectural Digest, which filmed her touring the palatial property.
“The strength of the house is in the subtleties of light and space,” Paltrow says. “We spent a lot of time assessing family patterns, how we really live, what makes us most comfortable. The focus was on the experience, the emotion," she explained.
The winner of the stay will be able to experience a home that has been meticulously designed by Paltrow and Robin Standefer, one of her long-time collaborators.
"A home should reflect the physicality and ethos of its owner, and this house takes its cues from Gwyneth’s height, beauty, and focus on distillation. You see it in the tall bones, the attenuated proportions, the radiused corners, and the slender molding profiles,” he told Architectural Digest.
“The house is built around extremely precise, thoughtful spaces that we refined again and again for years.”
