Jack Whitehall's girlfriend Roxy admits final trimester has been 'testing'
Jack Whitehall's girlfriend Roxy Horner has admitted to struggling in her last few weeks of pregnancy as she calls the final trimester "testing".
The 32-year-old model is expecting her first child with partner and comedian Jack Whitehall, with Roxy revealing that it hasn't been smooth sailing in pregnancy. The first-time mum-to-be has been suffering from "a lot of pain" and "terrible insomnia" leaving her "stressed" and "exhausted" as she gets closer to the end of her pregnancy.
Roxy, who suffered a miscarriage last year, still opened up about "counting her blessings" as she and Jack can't wait to welcome their "baby girl" into the world and become parents.
Speaking on her Instagram stories on Monday (31 July), glowing mum-to-be Roxy told her followers: "Last trimester... The last few weeks have been testing me, they've been really really hard. I thought the first trimester was hard. Like the sickness, I was throwing up around eight times a day. I was throwing up every day up until about five or six months.
"And then I had this brief moment where I was like 'Oh! I actually feel OK again!' And now I literally don't remember the last time I slept. Like I'm not kidding, I really don't. So yeah, pregnancy is difficult for some people and I am very envious of those who enjoy their pregnancy."
Greggs, Costa & Pret coffees have 'huge differences in caffeine', says reportThe heavily pregnant model also added further explanation later as she continued: "Regarding my previous post, I just wanted to talk some realness. Obviously, I've been posting lovely moments with my bump and I can't wait to meet our baby girl but I think it's important for me to be transparent too.
"I've been in pain a lot especially when I walk or stand up too long and the insomnia is horrendous due to being so uncomfortable. I'm struggling to do anything due to being exhausted which is frustrating when we have so much to do before baby comes. I'm stressed and sleep deprived and I still have the odd day where I feel sick and throw up even though I'm over eight months pregnant."
She added: "But at the same time I smile because I'm SO excited for our baby girl to be here and we have a little mover in here which is a great sign and reminds me of why I'm going through all of this. I have no idea why some people have enjoyable easy pregnancies and others struggle so much, but the end result is something beautiful so that's all that matters."
Roxy and Jack announced the gender of their baby in June with an announcement on Steph's Packed Lunch as Roxy revealed she has just three months to go. Sharing the happy news, she said: “We are having a little girl. We have thought of some names but I feel like there are none that are really sticking out." When asked by Steph McGovern if she was nervous, Roxy – who is due in September - said: "Weirdly no, maybe I should be? I am just very excited. I have always wanted a baby and a family so it’s always been on the cards."
