Actor Robert Capron looks compltely different from when fans would have last seen him on the big screen, acting as lovable Rowley in the film adaptation of Diary of A Wimpy kid.

Starring alongside Clueless legend Alicia Silverstone, Devon Bostick, who recently acted in Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer and Zachary Gordon, Robert rose to fame after playing Greg's charming best pal in four of the film's installments. In the first 2011 film, we follow the exploits of 12-year-old Greg (Zachary Gordon) during his first year at secondary school where he and his uncool best pal Rowley (Robert Capron) must negotiate playground politics in the hope of becoming the most popular kids.

Robert had initially starred in Bride Wars, with Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson, as well as a variety of smaller roles. In 2016, Robert landed the role of Jack Black's son Dave in the feature film The Polka King and recently starred in a heartwarming dramedy called Caffe Greco in 2021.

Over on his Instagram, Robert, now 25-years-old, regularly posts selfies, pictures with friends and other random videos, including his most recent upload asking producers to cast him in a musical. As he recited lines from a show, he added the caption: "Give us fair contracts so I can star in a musical."

Updating his followers with his career moves, Robert appears to have taken a behind-the-scenes role in Hollywood and told his fan that he was delighted to have worked as a writer's assistant on The Muppets Mayhem.

Sharing his snaps from the premiere, he wrote: "If you’d told me I’d be working as a writers’ assistant for the MUPPETS? I would’ve laughed in your face. Life is weird. I mean, I think the Muppets introduced me to — kinda everything? Christmas Carol? Brick House? Westerns? (seriously, watch The Great Cookie Robbery from Muppet Babies. Gonzo makes a top ten all time sacrifice. Heart-wrenching).

"ANYWAYS! #themuppetsmayhem is out today on @disneyplus. It’s hilarious, and sweet, and really punny, and a lotta people put their heart and soul into this thing. Check it out!!!!!" to which his former co-star and on-screen best friend Zachary, commented: "From Zoo wee mama comics to this … best is yet ahead my friend."
