Angus Cloud cause of death 'unknown' after Euphoria actor found dead at 25

Angus Cloud's cause of death is "unknown" after he was found dead at the age of 25, police have confirmed.

The actor, who starred as Fezco on the hit HBO show Euphoria, is said to have died at his family's home in Oakland. The Oakland Police Department has said he was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement shared with The Mirror, a spokesperson for the force said: "The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is investigating a death that occurred today, July 31, 2023, just after 11:30 AM, in the 200 block of Euclid Avenue. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

"The cause of death is unknown. There's no additional information being released at this time. This is an active death investigation."

Angus' death was confirmed by his family in an emotional statement. It read: "It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways."

The statement, which was provided to TMZ, revealed his father had died recently and the star was struggling with his loss. It continued: "Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend."

The statement added that Angus was open about his battle with mental health. It said it is hoped his passing can be "a reminder to others that they are not alone".

His family told the publication they hoped Angus would be remembered for his humour, laughter and love for everyone, before they asked for privacy to help them process their devastating loss.

Just two weeks before his death, Angus shared an Instagram tribute to his father. In the picture, his dad wore a red hooded tracksuit. Angus captioned the post: "Miss u breh."

HBO also released a statement on Monday evening as they paid tribute to the "immensely talented" Angus. It read: "We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud. He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family. We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time."
