The Last of Us stars banned from using certain word on set and fans aren't happy
The Last of Us stars were "banned" from using a certain word on set amid fears the series would become "a cliché".
The hit HBO show is set in a post-apocalyptic world which has been ravaged by a parasitic fungi which reduces humans to an infected state.
While some fans first fell in love with The Last of Us video games, not all viewers were familiar with the concept of the show and assumed the infected are ordinary zombies.
However, many fans are quick to point out that they are not actually zombies, instead the creatures are known as Clickers.
It turns out the show creators also felt strongly about the terminology, banning the word "zombie" from being used on set.

The word 'zombie' was banned on set (HBO)Cinematographer Even Bolten, who worked on four episodes of the show, said: "We weren’t allowed to say the Z word on set. It was like a banned word. They were the Infected. We weren’t a zombie show.
"Of course, there’s tension building and jump scares but the show’s really about our characters; The Infected are an obstacle they have to deal with."
The cinematographer also told The Credits that the series is "not a cliché zombie movie", but instead described it as "a world of organic cinematic naturalism".

Another said: "My gosh, this is so unnecessarily dramatic," while a third simply tweeted: "So stupid."
Not everyone disagreed with the decision to forbid the word "zombie", with one fan writing: "I mean, they’re not zombies."
Someone else pointed out: "So we're clear the walking dead didn't call them zombies either."
The creatures in The Last of Us begin as Runners, who tend to move around in large groups, before becoming Stalkers around two weeks after being infected.
At this point, the fungus starts to sprout from their bodies. At the third stage of the infection, they become Clickers.
In episode four, a new phase of infection was introduced, known as the Bloater.
