Our Yorkshire Farm’s Raven and Reuben Owen break silence after farm closure
Our Yorkshire Farm's Raven and Reuben Owen have broken their silence after Ravenseat Farm was closed to the public.
Shepherdess Amanda, 48, made the shock announcement on her website recently, telling visitors: "Ravenseat Farm is closed to visitors until further notice, so unfortunately we are not serving cream teas. Thank you for understanding, Amanda."
Amanda didn't say why she had closed the farm, but her kids chose not mention it as they took to Instagram updating fans on what they had been getting up to.
Reuben, 18, who has bagged his own spin-off show from the Channel 5 series, shared a snap of himself on a dirt bike on the weekend with the caption: "Good bit of fun at Bainbridge Hill climb. Sadly was cut a bit short due to a bit of carb trouble." It appears 'carb' refers to the bike's carburettor, which supplies the engine with air and fuel.
Raven, meanwhile, who is spending summer on the farm before heading back to university, showed off a range of snaps, including one of her riding her horse.
Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen sparks concern with 'crumbling' Ravenseat picsShe also shared a photo of her three sisters with the caption: “A sunny day well spent (I promise I’m happier than I look).”
Amanda still runs Ravenseat while looking after her nine kids, however, members of the public hoping to rock up for their usual cream tea at the farm between noon and 4pm will have to go elsewhere.
It's been a busy time for the shepherdess as she gets used to life without her ex, Clive, after the couple decided to call time on their relationship last year after speculation they were living separate lives.
Opening up about their decision to split earlier this year, Clive told the Lorraine show: "I sadly made a right mess of things basically. I had a massive part to play in the relationship ending. A massive part to play. I was ranting and raving and drinking and carrying on. I don't know - jealousy.
"It seemed to eat away at me and I handled it badly and I behaved badly towards her. I should have been supportive ... It's been really upsetting, Amanda's having a tough time at the moment. I just feel I can't sit back. I have to say something in her defence, she's a remarkable woman. We just got to the point where we couldn't be together anymore."
Amanda, meanwhile, is said to have moved on with web designer, Robert Davies, following her shock split from her husband of 22 years. Robert is reportedly in the middle of divorce proceedings with his estranged wife.
