Violent Benidorm street brawl sees man brutally ‘knocked out’ as children scream
A shocking video of a violent street brawl in a Spanish holiday hotspot shows half-naked thugs pushing young children who were left screaming out for help. The footage of the brutal incident was captured on the streets of Benidorm, Spain in the early hours of July 20.
One eyewitness, who did not wish to be named, claims that one man was arguing on the phone, challenging someone for a fight on the street corner. He reportedly said: "Meet me on the f***ing corner you c***’."
Moments later, a family with young children who appear to be under the age of 10, appear and the serious altercation begins. During several points in the clip, women can be seen shoving the man away from the terrified children, the Daily Star reports.
The witness said: “It is not pretty to watch as a parent. He ran over there, pushed the kids out the way, smacked the bloke and knocked him out. They were scrapping, the kids were screaming, it was brutal. Gives Benidorm a bad name."
At the start of the clip, a topless man in grey shorts is seen with a blonde woman in a blue dress who appears to be attempting to de-escalate the situation.
Happy Valley sisters Catherine Cawood and Clare 'click' perfectly, says TV palMoments later, the same man shoves the woman to the side and is seen repeatedly punching a man in a white T-shirt and khaki shorts. Screams of 'stop it' can be heard from terrified passers-by as a group of both men and women attempt to separate the brawling tourists.
At one point a woman in a white dress can be heard saying “You did that in front of your kids?”. Seconds later, the same man in the white T-shirt can be seen attempting to smack his topless attacker, causing the scene to erupt into chaos. The children appear to run into the descending carnage before being comforted by other onlookers.
The local police has been contacted to enquire whether the incident is being investigated. It comes after a Brit who has lived in the revered area for 40 years claims the area can be rife with rowdy tourist at night, cadding that the stench of vomit the morning after is 'offensive'.
She said : “I haven’t been out that late at night for a very long time, although I used to a lot when I was young. I was probably the one being sick If I am honest. But more than seeing, unfortunately, you smell it the next morning and I am always saying ‘for god’s sake, can you not put some fairly liquid in that jetwash because it stinks’."
