Sam Faiers have given a look into Ashley Cole's stunning Italian wedding to his model fiancée Sharon Canu. The TOWIE star bagged an invite to the intimate ceremony over the weekend. The former Chelsea and Arsenal star said "I do" for the second time on Saturday evening in a glitzy ceremony surrounded by friends and family. It took place in a gorgeous five-star hotel in Rome.
Guests were treated to a pre-wedding dinner party in a beautiful garden. Sam shared a glimpse at the pizza restaurant themed meal where long tables were decorated in red and white gingham fabric. Rows of potted herbs and tomato plants adorned the tables as unique centerpieces. The reality TV star also showed fans inside the hotel which featured a stunning pool with beach views.
She also showed off a pink tiled bathroom where she added: "Obsessed with our pink bathroom @sharoncanu you know me too well!" Ashley and Sharon exchanged vows under an arch decked out in flowers before they then walked back down the aisle to a backdrop of cheers from guests.
A number of guests shared images and videos of the wedding on social media. It showed Cole - was was previously married to Girls Aloud singer Cheryl - wearing an all-black tuxedo, whilst Sharon caught the eye with a stunning off-the-shoulder dress and white bouquet. Cole, 42, and Sharon have been together since 2014 having reportedly met during the former's short stint with Italian giants Roma. They have dated ever since, whilst Cole also popped the question in March last year.
The news was shared on social media via a video of the pair sharing a kiss surrounded by flowers. A caption from Sharon read: "The easiest 'Yes' I've ever said." Planning for the wedding has been in full swing since then. A source told The Sun: "Ashley and Sharon are madly in love and have spent months planning their special day. They met in 2014 when he joined AS Roma and now they are returning to the city for their nuptials.
TOWIE's Chloe Brockett makes cheeky dig at Saffron Lempriere during filming"Loads of her family live there and it’s very romantic – it’s going to be a very special day. They have put lots of money into it but they have only invited close friends and family. As a couple, they have been very private so they don’t feel the need for a flashy, public wedding."
The pair also have two children together - a boy and a girl named Jaxon and Grace. Cole gave an insight into his family life recently and revealed that it was a huge departure from his playing career. While reality TV star Sam was happy to join in the wedding celebrations for Ashley and Sharon, she reckons she's grateful she's not married to her partner.
Speaking about their plans for the future, Sam, who celebrates her 10 year anniversary with Paul Knightley this year, said: “I actually feel grateful we’re not married at the moment. Now we’ve got Edward, I’d look back and be sad he wasn’t part of the wedding or in any of our wedding pictures or videos. I feel like it was meant to happen for me this way and I’m fine with it.
"I know that we’ve always joked over the years and even on The Mummy Diaries – ‘When is the proposal? You need to marry her,’ blah blah. I don’t feel like that. We’ve done the hardest part of a relationship – having three children, working together, living together – and we’ve moved about nine times,“ reports OK! magazine.
