Madonna laughs off Grammys critics with 'cute' photo after 'swelling goes down'
While she might not look like she’s laughing – or entirely capable of laughing – Madonna still has a sense of humour.
The singer, 64, jokes she now looks “cute” since she recovered from surgical swelling, after her appearance at the Grammys caused a stir.
The singer introduced Sam Smith and Kim Petras at the awards this month, and fumed at the “misogynistic” reaction to her appearance.
“Look how cute I am now that swelling from surgery has gone down,” she quipped, adding a “lol”, to let us know she was messing about.
It’s the first time she has admitted going under the knife, having previously stated: “I’m certainly not against plastic surgery. However, I am absolutely against having to discuss it.”

And recently shared a photo where she looked "cute" (Twitter)Earlier this month, she raged: “Once again I am caught in the glare of ageism and misogyny that permeates the world we live in.
“A world that refuses to celebrate women past the age of 45 and feels the need to punish her if she continues to be strong-willed, hard-working and adventurous.” She also said images of her at the Grammys were “distorted” because they were taken from far away.

Ed, above, spent a year perfecting flavours for his new Tingly Teds and deemed them “absolute belters”. “There really isn’t anything they don’t go with,” he says. “Except bananas, don’t do that.”
