Love Island star surprises fans over unlikely friendship with Khloe Kardashian
Khloe Kardashian shocked her British fans when she replied to a comment left by ex-Love Islander Shaughna Phillips. The 39-year-old US reality star shared a cure photo to Instagram of her youngest child, Tatum, on his first birthday.
And of all the comments and well-wishes posted by her 311 million followers, she somehow singled out a small comment left by Shaughna, 29, that her son was the spitting image of her brother Robert Kardashian.
Shaughna, who welcomed her daughter Lucia into the world in April, commented: "Omg he is Rob!!!" to which Khloe responded, “He really is! Ha." Her observation didn't come totally out of the blue. Along with the photos of her son, Khloe mused on how much he looked like his uncle.

Shaughna Phillips went on to express her surprise at receiving a reply from the American reality TV star (@shaughnaphillips/Instagram)Fans were quick to spot Khloe and Shaughna's surprising interaction, with one telling the Love Island star: "You and @khloekardashian, the friendship no one saw coming." New mum Shaughna replied to one of the many comments, admitting: "I’ve just been sick, died, gone to heaven and come back again."
In the lengthy post, Khloe wrote: "I am a firm believer in that God gives you what you need and I needed you. God knew my heart needed you. I needed your sweet and precious Smile. I needed your angelic spirit. I needed a love only you could give me. I needed my son. I am so proud to be your mommy. So proud of the love and laughter we have in our house. So proud of your beautiful, gentle, loving, infectious spirit. You light up every single room. There’s no denying that Everyone smiles when they look at you! Especially True - she is so proud to call you hers.

"Tatum, You have changed mine and True’s lives forever. We both needed you. I knew she would be a fantastic, loving older sister, but I don’t think I ever could’ve imagined the love and bond you guys already have. You both remind me so much of uncle Bob and I. It’s fitting since I think you look soooo much like your uncle. (Which means I think you look like my dad too)."
There's something about British reality stars - Love Island contestants in particular - that is catnip to A-listers. Earlier this month fans were left amazed when they saw Chris Taylor from the 2017 series pop up in the Barbie movie. Actress Margot Robbie, 33, is obsessed with the show, and has been seen losing her mind when crossing paths with members of the cast at red carpet events, as has actor Tobey Maguire who was starstruck by Millie Court and Lucinda Stafford at Coachella.
Khloe has previously posted lots of adoration and encouragement on Maisie Smith's social channels - so it looks like the Kardashian-Jenner fans are more in to Strictly Come Dancing (or EastEnders ) than the latest sexed-up shenanigans from the Villa.
