A Magaluf hotel security guard has been hailed a hero after a clip of him scolding a group of rowdy British tourists in broken English went viral.

The video, which was shared on TikTok on 20th July, had been watched 8.5 million times at the time of writing. The clip shows the burly guard marching into the lads' hotel room with a wry grin on his face as he counts: "One, two, three, cuatro, cinco, seis, y siete."

After giving a sarcastic round of applause, he points out the window and says "In the morning, in the waaaaaaaaaa..." as he imitates their rowdy behaviour.

As one of the group sheepishly mutters "Sorry", the guard quips: "Perfecto. Perfecto, my friends. Muy bien." As the lads stand around in their swim shorts looking worse for wear, the uniformed guard looks at his watch and says: "Six in the morning, seven in the morning."

He then explains that families with young children had been unable to sleep because of the racket they were making. He adds that several guests had called reception about the Brits' unruly behaviour as the lads continue to apologise awkwardly.

Before leaving the room, the guard can be heard warning the tourists: "Tomorrow in the morning, in the manager..." One netizen commented on the video: "Haha, this guard is class. What a guy."

Another joked: "Me after putting 'advanced English' on my CV." And a third wrote: "I think they understand him perfectly." Earlier this year, tourists heading to a notorious Greek party island were left unimpressed because it's full of boozy Brits.

Zante in Greece, has long been a firm favourite with young Brits looking to party abroad, thanks to its strip with bars and clubs lining the street and free shots being handed out liberally to young party-goers. The notorious 18-30s holiday packages to the area are immensely popular among those who want to soak up the Greek sun while letting their hair down.

Throw in the fact that it has amazing beaches, glorious sunshine and cheap hotels, and it's no wonder it's so popular with younger holidaymakers.

Last month, we reported how a holidaymaker was reunited with his ID after losing it in Magaluf. Dan Knight, 21, lost his provisional driving licence during a holiday with friends. But the History and Politics student, who thought he'd never see his ID again, had another surprise coming.

Returning home to Sheffield, he was astonished to find it enclosed in a letter from "Kirsty in Scotland". As the Daily Record reports, Dan took to social media, keen to thank the Good Samaritan and tell her she'd restored his faith in humanity.
