Ariana Grande's 'new man' Ethan Slater 'desperate' to co-parent his baby son
Ethan Slater is said to be "desperate" to co-parent his one-year-old son with his now-estranged wife Lilly Jay, amid reports he has moved on with Ariana Grande.
Ethan, who stars alongside Ariana in the upcoming film Wicked, has officially filed for divorce from Lilly after five years of marriage. He's said to have filed the divorce papers in New York, but has not yet revealed the reason for the split.
The former high school sweethearts share one son together and a source has said Ethan is very keen to play a big part in his life. They claim Ethan has been talking to Lilly "daily" about their son.
The actor, 31, is said to have spent a lot of time with his baby in London while filming Wicked and is "determined to have a major presence in the boy's life."

The former couple were high school sweethearts (Getty Images)The source said Lilly has reassured Ethan that she is willing to co-parent with him. Speaking to TMZ, they further claimed that he asked his former partner to issue a statement to tell fans they are "committed to co-parenting".

However, Lilly is said to have wanted to defer the statement for now.
The claims come after Lilly spoke out about Ethan's rumoured romance with Ariana Grande and appeared to hit out at the singer. She also said her family is "collateral damage" amid the relationship reports.
Speaking to Page Six, Lilly said: "[Ariana's] the story really. Not a girl's girl."

Dalton and Ariana were together for two years before the singer was spotted without her wedding ring on at Wimbledon. She also took down her wedding photos from her Instagram account.
It's been claimed that the pair have been separated for the past seven months, with Dalton also "dating other people".
Ethan and Ariana were reported to be affectionate and very "hands on" while filming Wicked together. In the film, Ariana stars as Glinda the Good Witch while Ethan plays the role of Boq.
