Big Brother legend teases huge comeback in brand new ITV series
Big Brother has created a string of household names but one icon could be walking straight back into the house that made her famous.
Series five champion Nádia Almada shot to fame on the programme back in 2004 and became the first transgender person to participate in the show, which she eventually won. The Portuguese-born star became a trailblazer for the trans community and says that she still receives messages from fans she has helped support.
But almost two decades on from her first appearance in the house, the star, 46, has teased that she could be entering once again.
"I think that's the beauty of this memory of this experience on the show, it's the icon status," she said to the Mirror before adding: "I love the show, I would love for them to see us and to have us and kind of remember, the pioneers of the show and I think it's kind of becoming a full circle. I've manifested it.

Speaking on behalf of ICE 36, Nádia added: "I'm excited for the possibility of going back in there and just to catch up and show the kids how it's done. I think it's beautiful we'll have it on the reboot, the new show and we are the Olympians of the product so why not, I think it'll be exciting.
"I will make my mother proud because she loves the show, she keeps saying 'You should go again in Portugal!'"
The star who now works as a stylist told the Mirror that when she originally appeared on the show which was then aired on Channel 4, she approached producers with her own terms and conditions. She explained: "I said to them 'Listen, you want me on your show, I want to be on the show but these are my T&Cs. I will come in as Nadia Almada, Portuguese, worked in a bank, blah blah – that's it, you'll have it or you won't.' So in itself, I made my own rules with Big Brother – it never allows anyone to make their own rules.
She explained that it was an "exciting" time to be given the "reassurance for herself" after spending her life being "put into boxes".
"I needed it at that time not to be labeled anymore, I just wanted to be human and that's what fascinated me. The show said I could be that person," she commented before going on to add: "It was more of my necessity to kind of just be my myself, to strip all the layers."
Nádia described Big Brother which aired between 2000 - 2010 before being revived on Channel 5 between 2011 and 2018 as the "founding father of reality TV" and added that she's still a huge fan of the programme. But while many share the horror stories of their time on reality TV, Nádia found people being nice to her for the "first time" after she shot to fame.
However, in a now-deleted tweet, ITVX appeared to shut down previous speculation that some housemates may be returning as they penned: "All we'll say is, not everything you read on the internet is true."
