The View fans were left feeling quite shocked when esteemed host and much-loved Hollywood actress Whoopi Goldberg got so frustrated that she ranted on live television - with her even using an expletive word while on air.

The Sister Act star, 67, was seemingly interrupted by a crew member on the hit TV show in regards to a legal note, and the iconic star didn't appear to take too kindly to it while hosting on Wednesday's episode of The View.

Whoopi and her fellow co-hosts: Joy Behar, 80, Sara Haines, 45, Sunny Hostin, 54, and Alyssa Farah Griffin, 34, discussed Hunter Biden's court date, which got very heated among the panel and audience.

Sitting down on the iconic show's set, they spoke about how Republicans want Donald Trump to be the nominee for the next President. Joy revealed the statistics when she said: "69 percent of the Republican party wants Trump to be the nominee. That translates to millions of people."

Whoopi was quick to weigh in, with her setting the record straight: "No it doesn't. It only translates to the people that they spoke to. Did anybody call y'all? Any Republicans?" she said looking into the audience.

She then went on: "They could call more people," before getting distracted by something off-camera. A crew member seemingly told her to go to Sunny, who started to speak before Whoopi piped up.

Whoopi furiously said: "Yeah, I know [Sunny] has legal notes but I also have a point. I just wanna make the point... now you've p***ed me off. Forget it." But it seemed to be a lighthearted rant, because she laughed it off and then Sunny continued with what she wanted to say.

This isn't the first time that legal notes have caused a stir on-set, with Joy Behar previously complaining. Last month during an episode, she fumed: "Another one? God, every time we open our mouths!"

The View is an American chat show which was created more than two decades ago in 1997 by legendary journalist Barbara Walters. It is currently on its 26th season, which means that the long-running daytime show has been a hit with fans for almost 26 years.

In total, The View has garnered 31 Daytime Emmy Awards as well as nominations for three People's Choice Awards, three GLAAD Media Awards, and a Critics' Choice Television Award.
