Andre Onana posts emotional goodbye message to Inter Milan ahead of Man Utd move
Andre Onana has sent an emotional goodbye message to the Inter Milan fans and is finally ready to complete his £47million transfer to Manchester United.
The former Ajax goalkeeper, who worked with United boss Erik ten Hag in Amsterdam, posted on social media: "I never imagined that a farewell would be so hard.
A year ago I became a Nerazzurro, many people told me that this club and this city had something special. Now I can confirm it. In my first days as a Nerazzurro, I realised that this is a family and that being Interisti is a way of understanding life.
"I fell in love with San Siro, la Curva and the city. Now the circumstances are right for me to start a new journey in Manchester. I do it with great enthusiasm, but knowing that I will miss you. Eternal gratitude to all the Interisti. You make this club great.
"Maybe one day our paths will cross again, but now it's time to face new challenges and cheer you on from afar. Players come and go, but the club always remains, and Inter is above everything and everyone."

Onana confirmed the move was as good as done on Wednesday - the same day he was expected to undergo his United medical.
He told La Gazetto dello Sport before flying to the UK: "The important thing is to be honest and always tell people the truth. I am a person who always wants new challenges. Playing in the Premier League and for a club like United is irresistible. All parties wanted this to happen.

United are set to hand the Cameroon international a five-year contract, with the option of a further 12 months.
Onana was seen at Turin Airport on Tuesday and flew to Birmingham before arriving at Carrington for his medical, according to reports from Italy.
The goalkeeper becomes United's second signing of the summer after Mason Mount was snapped up in a £60m deal from Chelsea.
Onana will replace long-term shot-stopper David de Gea between the sticks after he confirmed his exit earlier in the summer transfer window.
