Fans of Mickey Mouse and his friends will have a chance to see some of the highlights from Walt Disney's vaults and even take a virtual walk down Main Street in Disneyland as part of a new exhibition aimed at fans of the iconic animation house.

A huge exhibition four years in the making, Disney100 will take over 20,000-square-feet of the ExCel's exhibition space in London, with ten large, themed galleries packed with rarely seen historical and special treasures including interactive installations, art, costumes, props and other unique memorabilia on display in the UK for the first time.

The exhibition will open on October 13 in time for the official 100th anniversary of Disney three days later and run into 2024. The first tickets for the event have already gone on sale, with fans who book to visit for the official anniversary on October 16th able to enjoy an extended opening to 9pm, VIP tickets and other perks.

VIP tickets offer a unique branded laminate & lanyard, an exclusive D100 Disney pin, additional surprises and flexible entry at any time on any given day. Ticket prices start at £14.50 with discounted prices available for families, children, students and senior citizens.

Alongside hand-drawn artwork from the archives, visitors will be able to see iconic cinematic props including the carousel horse rode by Dick Van Dyke as Bert in Mary Poppins, the red dress worn by Emma Stone in the live-action Cruella film, and an Iron Man helmet used in Avengers: Infinity War. Disney World fans will also get a reminder of the joys of the Florida park in London.

The Your Disney World: A Day in the Parks gallery will make visitors feel as if they are standing on a version of iconic Main Street, USA, where they will see an attraction vehicle from Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride at Disneyland and a model of the Castle of Magical Dreams for Hong Kong Disneyland. There will also be a gift shop packed with exclusive merchandise as well as photo opportunities with Mickey, Goofy, and Dopey and family-friendly interactive moments perfect for children to test their observation skills as they move around the gallery.

Announcing the launch of the exhibition, Walt Disney Archives director Becky Cline said it would give new insights to much-loved characters, adding: “We are incredibly excited to bring this fantastic exhibition to London. We can’t wait for guests in the UK to experience their favourite Disney stories, characters, and attractions in new and immersive ways as we celebrate all the wonderful worlds of Disney.”
