Nathan Henry has spoken out about Charlotte Crosby's Geordie Shore departure, revealing that the next series of MTV reality show will be its 'realest' yet.

Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, the English media personality gave his honest perspective on the rumours that his co-star has quit the program over conflict with the cast.

"There’s obviously going to be fallouts," Nathan said, before explaining that "people's priorities have changed" since the premiere of Series One in 2011.

"I think now, because everyone’s older, the egos are stripped back," the 32-year-old, who is jetting off to Isle of MTV Malta this weekend, continued.

"Everyone’s a lot more genuine and a lot more honest. Once you’ve had kids, and when people get married, you’ve got nothing to prove. Everyone’s just being a little too honest."

Earlier this week, Charlotte took to Instagram to address speculation of a rift amongst Geordie Shore cast. The Sunderland native, who gave birth to a baby girl in October, acknowledged that there was "misunderstandings" via a lengthy caption on her Stories.

"There's lots of these questions. I don't [know] really about fallouts, I would go as far to say there were a bunch of misunderstandings," the 33-year-old wrote. "One very silly argument that escalated. But a lot of confusion I think overall. At this age you don't fall out with people intentionally you kinda just have stuff going on and through those times friendships are tested."

Charlotte, who joined the show in 2011 as one of its original cast members, went on to admit that she may not even watch the upcoming season. "I really dread watching the series I'm not sure I will," the reality TV icon wrote. "I have felt a couple of times when filming there has been a false narrative pushed on me something I've never experienced when filming Gshore. Which makes me realise it's not the show for me anymore."

Nathan was also relatively hush-hush when talking about the alleged conflict, but did promise viewers that all the juicy details would come to light on the upcoming season. "You will find out everything on this series, if people want to know what happened," the I'm a Celebrity Australia star said. "It’s the realest out of every single series we’ve done. It’s gone raw Geordie Shore."

Charlotte will be joined in Series 24, some of which was filmed in Cyprus, by several Geordie Shore favorites, including Marnie Simpson, Ricci Guarnaccio, Kyle Christie, Jay Gardner and James Tindale. It's been reported that the Charlotte flew home from the sun-soaked island early, however, over frustrations with the cast's accommodation.

"Charlotte was really unhappy at how dirty the villa was that they were staying in - there were no cleaning products and she had her baby daughter with her," a source revealed. "The whole thing was really stressful and she just wanted to get home." It's understood that her sudden exit was captured on camera, and will therefore likely be featured in the upcoming series. "It left a bad taste in some of the cast's mouths but it was all great TV when she stormed out," the insider added.

Isle of MTV, Europe’s biggest free summer festival, in partnership with the Malta Tourism Authority, returns to the iconic Il-Fosos Square on July 18th. Grammy-Nominated band OneRepublic, multi-platinum producer & DJ Alesso, Delta Goodrem, Tom Grennan and Mimi Webb will all headline the event.
