Lee Mack's quiz show has quickly become one of the nation's favourite games, known for really testing people's brains to determine who can answer the most difficult questions.

The 1% Club whittles down 100 contestants, and those playing along at home, to see if they can correctly answer a question only 1% can get right.

15 logic-inspired questions get progressively harder as the show goes on. To give people a chance, Lee kicks off his show with a question 90 per cent of people polled got right.

It then goes to ask questions a smaller and smaller number of those quizzed got right, bringing it right up to the final 1% question in the hopes of securing £100,000.

We have a tough final question for you to try, to see if you would succeed in being part of the 1% club. So, what is the first number that when spelled out has its letters in alphabetical order?

Have you managed to work it out yet? Don't feel too much pressure as host Lee Mack himself hasn't managed to get one right yet.

“I’m not going to lie – I went through the whole first series without getting a 1%. The best I did was a 5% question," he confessed.

The answer is: FORTY.

How did you do? Do you think you would have had the chance to secure the £100,000 jackpot?

Well back in May of this year, The 1% Club made history as 12 people all made it through to the one per cent question. It managed to break records as it featured the most people ever getting through to the final question in the show's history.

Lee couldn't believe it when he was faced by 12 people for the final question. They were all asked if they would like to take home their share of £10,000 or if they would prefer to risk it all and play on.

They all decided to play on and it meant they would potentially be sharing the pot of money between 12 of them. However, only two ended up getting the question right - with the answer being E - and thus splitting the prize between them. It meant each of them bagged a whopping £47,500 to take home and spend with how they wish.

Whilst earlier this year, Daniel O’Halloran, 24, impressed with his performance and won an incredible £99,000 on the show. He admitted that he "lost control of his body" when he took home the top prize and never in his "wildest dreams" thought he'd win.

He told the Liverpool Echo : "I lost control of my body. I was running around celebrating on stage in total shock. I never thought I’d be standing there on the show, let alone winning it. I was quite confident in getting to the latter stages of the show, but I never in my wildest dreams imagined taking home that much money.

"I thought if I got to £10,000 with no money to fall back on, I’d take the £10,000 and wouldn't gamble." He even managed to keep his win a secret from his family until his episode aired on TV.

"It was very difficult, there were some moments I nearly blurted it out or my family would ask me and I couldn’t keep the smile on my face. I only told my grandma and a few friends. When they were watching it, they couldn’t believe I’d done it. It was the best thing to see. They were in total shock. They couldn’t believe I’d kept it secret," he said.

He had to wait for weeks after the show airs to get his prize money and so it means he will receive it on May 29th.
