Katie Price's money woes as she faces bankruptcy hearing over £3.2m debt today
Katie Price is set to appear in court remotely today over her £3.2 million debt repayment after the hearing was moved yet again.
The glamour model, once estimated to be worth £45 million, was declared bankrupt in 2019, and previously agreed to pay £12,00 a month but it is claimed she has not been sticking to the deal, according to those owed the cash.
The TV personality and mum-of-five, is expected to attend the hearing at the Royal Courts of Justice in London virtually today, after the hearing was set for June last year, then moved to February, before again being moved to April and was later postponed to July.
Katie previously opened up about her bankruptcy, saying it's to do with two people in her past and her home in West Sussex, known as the Mucky Mansion, is safe. Katie was meant to pay the £12,000 per month to creditors of the firm through an individual voluntary arrangement.
A considerable amount of the £3.265m is owed for mortgages secured against her home.
Katie Price and Danielle Lloyd 'bury the hatchet' after documentary feudIt was previously said the court would be questioning the star on where she earns all her money and how she plans to pay back her debts.
A source explained to the Mirror last in Janury: “The court will wish to know where every penny comes from, whether that’s from selling her old clothes on Depop or stripping out of her clothes on OnlyFans. Only then can the court make up its mind about her ability to pay.”
In the lead up to today's hearing, Katie has been selling various things from her past online, from memorabilia to horse riding gear. And last month, the star put the wedding dress she wore to marry Peter Andre up for sale, too.
Katie used her podcast The Katie Price Show to attempt to flog it to listeners before confessing the gown had "rat droppings on it".
Speaking on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, she revealed: "Guess where half of that wedding dress is now? I found it in my container yesterday, just sitting there – just the skirt – thinking, 'that cost me £45,000 that dress' and now it's ended up screwed up, in a bag on top of my container and the corset bit, in a bag but it's got all rat droppings on it.
"But, guess what? Ladies and gentleman if you know anyone who likes my taste in weddings..."
Her sister Sophie interrupted: "Oh no can we please not pawn the wedding dress?!"
However Katie was adamant the dress was for sale as she replied: "I am. Why do I want that wedding dress? It's in a container, someone will want it!"
The former glamour model recently slammed a critic's comments about her bankruptcy in a TikTok live video, where she had been tasked with promoting the JYY London clothing brand, which she regularly collaborates with.
After a troll brought up her bankruptcy, she hit back with: "I'm bankrupt, yes, but I still own my 2.5million pound house and I'm sat here in the kitchen doing my TikTok to you.
