Jackie Chan's estranged daughter has spoken out about their fractured relationship

Jackie Chan's daughter claims the sweet video of them enjoying a family moment that went viral earlier this week is fake.

Etta Ng Chok Lam claims that her father is homophobic and has abandoned her and her wife.

Earlier this week, fans praised Chan, 69, when they saw a video of him acting sweet with his daughter, rewatching his old famous stunts. They thought that the whole moment was totally adorable, but the twist is: it's not his daughter. Instead, the clip is actually a moment from his new movie Ride On (2023).

In the film, Chan plays a stuntman, much like himself in real life. In the movie, his character is watching Jackie Chan stunts with an actress. And now his real-life daughter has spoken out about their fractured relationship.

Etta Ng Chok Lam, has spoken out and claims that he is actually homophobic. In fact, not only has she been estranged for him, but she claims that she was left homeless as a result of his sentiments towards her sexuality.

Both her and her wife (who at the time was her girlfriend) said that they were struggling to support themselves or to find help. Etta even claimed that they had to sleep under a bridge. PinkNews also reported that Etta has attempted suicide multiple times in the past.

After Etta came out, PinkNews reported that when Chan was asked about his daughter's sexuality, he said: "If she likes it, that’s fine.” Otherwise, Chan has not addressed the homophobic accusations.

Etta has been public about their relationship for years, but many fans online are just now learning about it as a result of the viral moment.

Etta was born to Chan and her mother Elaine Ng Yi-Lei. Her mother is both an actress and a beauty queen most known for being crowned Miss Asian in 1990. The Sun reported that Elaine has her own problematic history. In fact, she has admitted to being "wrong" for not giving Etta a "sense of security".

She also told : “I feel that if they have no money, they should go find work. They shouldn’t film a clip telling others they are broke and who Etta’s father is. People all over the world work hard and don’t rely on someone else’s fame to get money."
