Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes took part in a charity golf event last week, with him and Travis Kelce teeing off against Golden State Warriors superstars Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.

All four were surprisingly impressive around the course in Las Vegas, with Mahomes and Kelce taking the win - after what has been a very rewarding 2023 after the two men starred in the Chiefs' Super Bowl victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in February.

But on one particular shot, Mahomes showed that he's certainly not to the standard of a professional golfer after hitting the ball well past the rough and into the fan area - accidentally hitting a young boy.

The ball did bounce before which took some impact off the ball. But Mahomes then made the young lad's day, by finding the boy and signing the ball for him, before getting Kelce to do the same.

The camera had followed Mahomes to the boy, as he said: "I'm going to sign a ball for you, my man. Where did it hit you at?"

But Mahomes was not the only one to hit a fan, with Thompson also hitting a bystander in the head with a wayward drive - shouting fore - before the man could be seen falling over. Thankfully, the man was not said to have suffered any injuries in the incident - with fellow Warriors teammate Draymond Green trolling him while on commentary.

Kelce eventually sunk the winning put to see the Chiefs duo defeat the Warriors backcourt of Curry and Thompson - with the former being a well-known solid player. Speaking after the event, Mahomes said: "We knew coming into this that if I just played decent, we were going to have a chance.

"Steph’s a great golfer, I thought Klay did a good job out there today. But they didn’t have that team aspect that we had. Literally, I would hit a terrible shot, Trav would hit a great one and vice versa. That’s what it takes in a team event like that and I think we went out there and showed what we can do."

Kelce then made a telling statement stating of Las Vegas: "I wouldn't mind coming back here in February...", in reference to the Super Bowl being held in the city, at the home of the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Chiefs will be strong favourites to repeat and defend their championship, after bringing back the majority of their best players from last season, and spending a considerable amount in free agency - bringing in two new starting offensive tackles in Donovan Smith and Jawaan Taylor, while also signing former 49ers pass-rusher Charles Omenihu.
