Woman who gave birth while in coma finally wakes to meet her baby for first time
A California influencer has woken up from a coma to meet her baby for the first time after she collapsed from a brain aneurysm.
Jackie Miller James, 35, collapsed and was found by her husband. Her baby had to be born by emergency caesarean.
Her family has now confirmed that after weeks of a medically induced coma.
"Jackie is awake and was recently transferred to one of the best neurological rehabilitation hospitals in the country," her family wrote.
"The doctors have been pleased upon her latest tests, numbers and evaluations, noting that Jackie is performing above expectations at this stage of her recovery."

Previous pictures showed Jackie in a coma being handed her baby daughter.

Jackie was in a medically induced coma (Gofundme)She was expected to remain in intensive care for several months and was previously in a medically induced coma.
Her sisters Natalie and Nicellehave started a GoFundMe page to raise money for her care. The page has already received over $330,000 in donations with an overall goal of $450,000.
The page said Jackie's husband and family have "not left her side" since she collapsed.
She was found after a brain aneurysm, her family confirmed on June 6 (Jackie Miller James/Instagram)Natalie wrote: "We are deeply saddened to share that our sister, Jacqueline (Jackie), was nine months pregnant and one week from her due date, when she suffered an aneurysm rupture, leading to severe brain bleeding and injury.
"Jackie was found immediately by her husband, Austin, and was rushed to the emergency room and into an operation where they performed an emergency C-section and brain surgery simultaneously."
Jackie's newborn baby remained in intensive care for 12 days after her birth.

But instead, Jackie is continuing to fight for her life each day and we are optimistic she can beat the odds by surrounding her with the right specialists and methods of therapy.
"While the road will be long, we are committed to bringing Jackie home to her daughter and husband."
